Violence- The Next Generation is a multi-layered, multi-faceted and multigenerational theater experience to be created from the weaving of stories of violence, of healing and of renewal from Indigenous women in rural and urban communities across Turtle Island. We are greatly inspired by these women who have been invisible for far too long, these courageous women who are ready to reveal their secrets and tell their stories; women who want to heal their families and rebuild their communities.

Violence- The Next Generation is the vision and passion of director Muriel Miguel, who has spent a lifetime creating unique theater productions which provide a powerful voice to women around the world. We are excited to be collaborating with Aanmitaagzi, the innovative Indigenous arts organization from Nipissing First Nation in Northern Ontario. The artists of Aanmitaagzi come to this project with a wealth of knowledge and experience in engaging the community in culturally centered multi arts projects.
